Yet just a wee bit down the thread, I knew nothing about boxing for questioning your assertion that he has a "glass jaw"? What is it - does he have a "glass jaw" or is his jaw "OK"? Because it can't be both, can it? Or does he have an "OK" "glass jaw"?

Furys feet are much much better though. He is pretty boring to watch but someone like Ruiz would not be giving him trouble.

I think he chin is ok, not Hagler, but not David Price either, Fury's is worse.
His main problem is stamina, you can take a shot a lot better the fitter you are.

The third round just after Ruiz went down. Of course AJ went straight in for him again, hit him with 3 or 4 good shots. Ruiz took them all and countered with just 1 good shot and he went down. never recovered after that.
Exactly the same thing happened in his fight against Whyte. Go to about 1.40 secs. Ofcourse he got through that and went onto win.

Klitschko caught him on the cheek/jaw, Ruiz punch was ear/temple. Big difference on the effects of getting hit where Ruiz caught him and recovery time from it.

I'd say that the issue is not so much his jaw, but how and why it's tested - and that ain't going to change any time soon

I wouldn't have said any of Ruiz's punches were as clean as the one that Klitschko hit him in the 6th round of their fight that put him down, and I thought Joshua was out on his feet then. But he managed to recover well then.
It's difficult to work out how well Joshua can take a punch.

Anyone can get knocked out. It depends on what you are doing, when you are hit and if you see the punch coming.
Watch 13 seconds into this video: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ih80WFTCTsU and see Pacquiao knocked cold by Marquez. He was moving his weight into the punch and walked straight onto it. He was out before he hit the floor but nobody would argue that he had a glass jaw...
Joshua kept throwing his own punches and then bringing his hands back low instead of up high to protect himself. This is why he constantly got countered after he landed his own shot. Bad technique left him open.
I am not saying that Joshua would have got up from a shot by Wilder in the same way that Fury did (IMO he wouldn't) but he definitely does not have a glass jaw.

For me, the sign of a top-class boxer is how quickly they correct their footwork when they get themselves (as everybody does, several times, in any fight) into the wrong position.
At one extreme you have the likes of Lomanchenko (who, frankly, probably has the best footwork I've ever seen) and at the other end are the hit-able bums with terrible records (Joshua is neither of these). Joshua's got to improve his movement and ring-craft. I've rarely seen him move away from trouble in a savvy way.

NS - yes, of course it gets harder to dance around the heavier you are. But dancing like Ali is not the only sign of good footwork. It's not just about the speed of your footwork, it's where and how you place your feet (when you punch, when you're set in your jab-stance and when you're defending). Particularly when you're having to defend. Foot speed is one thing - and few heavyweights "float like a butterfly", but foot movement and foot placement - they are very different. Joshua gets himself into some poor shapes in the ring. His footwork is awkward and far from second-nature.
